How effective is the filler?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nYoung skin is rich in molecules called collagen and Hylauronic Acid (HA). As we age, many factors, such as sun damage and smoking, reduce our skin's ability to produce these molecules. By filling the area with HA loss, the filler both gives volume and enables the production of your body's own natural collagen.<\/p>\n

What are the side effects?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nYou may notice temporary swelling, tightness, pain, bruising, or lumps in the treated area. It varies on everyone's skin, but these side effects may take up to a week to resolve. To reduce swelling, we recommend applying ice or using a bruising gel prescribed by your doctor. If bruising occurs, it may take up to two weeks to resolve. If necessary, concealer can be applied on the day of treatment.
\nOther possible side effects include infection, itching, severe allergies, and discoloration. If you experience any of these side effects, please call our office.<\/p>\n

Who should not use it?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nThose who are allergic or hypersensitive, have an infection in the area to be applied, are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use it.<\/p>\n

What should be done before treatment?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nBe sure to tell your doctor if you are taking any medications, have allergies, or have a medical condition. To avoid the side effects of bruising and swelling, if possible, avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol or high doses of vitamin E for up to seven days before the application.<\/p>\n

How to apply?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nAfter applying a local anesthetic cream, a very special thin needle is used to inject it into your skin. If necessary, ice can also be applied before application to reduce discomfort.<\/p>\n

What to do after application?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nDo not massage the injection sites or press them against your skin. This can cause bruising and swelling. We also recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise, aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol and direct sunlight on the day of application.<\/p>\n

When will the application results be noticed?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nResults may vary from person to person. Sometimes the effect is seen in a short time, while sometimes it may take a week or two for the full effect to be seen.
